Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) Chair Evan Power appeared on Spectrum News to discuss the upcoming 2024 election and Vice President Kamala Harris’ (D) running mate, Governor Tim Walz (D-MN). Power seemed very optimistic about VP Harris’ selection, claiming it would be beneficial for the GOP and provide a negative result for Democrats.

Well, I think he's a bad pick for her, but a great pick for the Republican Party. He's going to be the most liberal running mate in the history of running mates for vice president of the United States, and his record is one of far-left radicalism. He has said that one person's communism is the other person's neighborism, and so when you look at it, he's just a great pick for Republicans, a bad pick for Democrats,” said RPOF Chair Power.

Furthermore, the show host brought up the notion that Democrats have been “thrilled” Trump picked Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) to be his running mate and asked if Sen. Vance would bring the Trump ticket down.

Power responded, “I think J.D. Vance is an extremely talented senator, and when people hear his story, he wins over voters, and in the debate between Tim Walz and J.D. Vance, J.D. Vance is going to be a clear winner and it’s going to be a big victory for the Trump-Vance team.”

Moreover, the host questioned former President Donald Trump’s (R) campaign strategy as he has at times focused on VP Harris’ racial identity and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R). Power was asked if he should change tactics.

“No, I think Donald Trump needs to be Donald Trump. That's why the people love him. That's why he has a lead in the polls. He's going to continue to build a lead in the polls, and I think he needs to be himself,” said Power. He continued, “But the records are clear. The Biden record and the failed Biden agenda is exactly what Kamala Harris is. She's also the most liberal Senator that's ever sat in the United States [Senate] and now has picked a radical, extremist member of the Hamas squad to be her running mate. I think these choices are going to make themselves very clear, and the American people are going to be able to make a firm choice in November to send Trump-Vance to the White House.”

Nov. 5 is the election day to select the next President of the United States.
