Former Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos (R) has received a flurry of endorsements from prominent Republicans nationwide with a concentration of support from his home state of Florida.
Haridopolos is running for Congressional District 8, currently held by Representative Bill Posey (R-FL). Rep. Posey announced in April that he would not seek another term and subsequently endorsed Haridopolos for his seat.
Other endorsements include Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA), Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), former Arkansas Governor and Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee (R), Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody (R-FL), State Representative Randy Fine (R-FL), and Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis (R-FL).

Rep. Luna gave a thoughtful endorsement to the District 8 hopeful by saying that his priorities are in the right place.

Finally, State Rep. Randy Fine said “No one could serve our community better,” referring to Haridopolos.

District 8 – which includes part of Florida’s east coast, spanning just south of Vero Beach and just north of Titusville – has voted (at least) 60% Republican in the last three general elections (2018, 2020, 2022), and in the latter election was nearly 2:1 in favor of Posey.
Should the trends of District 8 continue and Haridopolos maintain the support that Rep. Posey has received throughout his time in Congress, he will have the fast track to becoming a United States congressman.
