Donalds Describes Alleged Meeting Between White House and Hunter Biden Attorney a 'Major Concern'

After recent reports surfaced of Hunter Biden’s legal team appearing at the White House two days before he failed to appear at the House Oversight Committee despite receiving a subpoena, Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) appeared on Newsmax to break down the situation from his point of view.

The Florida congressman said President Joe Biden’s alleged involvement “makes all the sense in the world.”

“[The President’s] been very involved in everything that’s been going on. Why wouldn't he know that and speak with his son and his son’s attorney before this deposition? That just makes all the sense in the world,” said Rep. Donalds. “The thing that would not make sense is that if Hunter Biden was just calling all of the shots and doing what he wanted, we know that’s not been the case for easily a decade within his family. If not more.

He continued, “And so this is a major cause for concern. And you combine that with the fact we now have a CIA whistleblower saying that the CIA spoke with the FBI before an interview with Hunter Biden to get to stop that or slow-walk that down. We already know that Main Justice (DOJ) put together one of the worst plea deals in the history of the world the first time they tried to get all of the charges for Hunter Biden swept under the rug. And it took a judge in Florida to actually read the deal that Main Justice tried to cut and say ‘this deal is crap,’ and ‘I’m not signing this.’”

Finally, Rep. Donalds said he’s not surprised that this alleged meeting between the White House and Hunter Biden’s legal team took place.

“I’m not shocked that the White House met with Abbe Lowell (Hunter Biden’s attorney) about what was going on with Hunter Biden. I have believed for a very long time that the White House Counsel knows exactly what’s going on, the White House Counsel has been involved, they have been communicated to by elements of Main Justice, obviously the Hunter Biden team, and if the CIA whistleblowers to be believed, then potentially elements of the CIA as well,” said Donalds.

The Florida congressman represents Florida’s 19th District.
