Ambassador Nikki Haley (R) won her first Republican primary in the District of Columbia, but is that a sign of what’s to come on Super Tuesday? The Republican challenger has posited that she is the only Republican that can defeat President Joe Biden (D), but new polling continues to show that that isn’t the case. President Donald Trump (R) outpaces President Biden on important issues in a new CBS News poll, yet another warning sign that the incumbent could be facing trouble in November.

Ambassador Haley just became the first woman to win a Republican presidential primary. Despite her losses thus far, she maintains that Super Tuesday will exceed all expectations. Moreover, she’s affirmed that she is no longer bound by the Republican National Committee’s pledge to endorse President Trump if he wins, citing a change in leadership.

Instead, Ambassador Haley questioned during an interview with NBC News, “when you all ask Donald Trump if he would support me, then I will talk about that.”

In the newly released CBS News poll, President Trump holds a lead of 52% to President Biden’s 48%. The poll is yet another example of the shift that has occurred wherein voters have turned on President Biden.

Despite President Biden’s assurance that the economy is getting better, the voters polled indicated that the economy was much better under President Trump.

65% of voters indicated this while 28% said that it was bad under President Trump.

55% of those polled said that President Biden’s policies will make prices go up, and 17% said that his policies will make prices go down. In contrast, 34% of those polled said that President Trump’s policies would make prices go up while 44% said they believe his policies will make prices go down.

In terms of the vision that both candidates have for the country,  63% of those polled believe President Trump has a vision while 50% say that President Biden has a vision.
