Iowa Caucuses Today

The day has finally come when Iowans decided who they feel should be the 2024 Republican presidential nominee. Former President Donald Trump is way ahead in all the public opinion polls, but is there an outside chance that Gov. Ron DeSantis will win tonight, or at the very least, come in a respectable 2nd Place? The Iowa Caucus is here.

Maybe.

It's going to be all about turn-out, and as we speak, the temperature around Iowa is below zero, which could impact how many people show up to cast their vote.

The first week of the legislative session is in the books, and all of the legislative worker bees are busy making sure week 2 kicks into high hear

“After relatively quiet committee weeks, the first week of session was very busy. Major issues started to move like the President’s Live Healthy and Live Local bills, as well as the House’s special districts reauthorization bill. Budget chairs are starting to put preliminary budgets together to be released earlier this session than most. We went from a walk to a sprint this week," stated Nick Iarossi, founder of Capitol City Consulting.
