Roger Stone Believes Trump's Jury in D.C. is 'Already Tainted'

In an exclusive interview with The Floridian, long-time political consultant Roger Stone asserted that the indictments handed down on former President Donald Trump’s (R) trial are in fact, election interference, and that the jury pool for his trial is “already tainted.”

Not the most optimistic thing to hear for the Trump campaign.

Floridian publisher Javier Manjarres mentioned Senator Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) words, who called the indictments “an attack on [Trump’s] First Amendment rights.” Stone gave his response, saying “It’s even worse than that.”

“It really is election interference. In other words, questioning the outcome of an election because of the enormous number of anomalies and irregularities is a crime for which you must go to prison. Unless you’re Kamala Harris or Amy Klobuchar, or Jerry Nadler or Chuck Schumer, or Stacey Abrams, or Jamie Raskin, or any of the 100 Democrats who objected in the House to the certification of Donald Trump’s election in 2016, it’s perfectly all right for them to do so. But when Donald Trump does it, it’s a crime. This is an absurdity.”

He would go on to echo a similar sentiment that Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) provided just a few weeks ago: if President Trump wasn’t ahead in the polls, this would not be happening.

“Does anyone in their right mind think that if Donald Trump was not leading in the polls, both Republican polls by double digits and leading Joe Biden in the national polls, head-to-head nationally in every swing state, that they would be doing this?” stated Stone.

Finally, Roger Stone alluded to his experience dealing with his trial in Washington, DC, and how it will affect the proceedings for the former President.

“Next, the big issue will be, ‘Oh, he has to be gagged. He can’t defend himself publicly because it might taint the jury pool.’ I’ve been in this jury box. I’ve been in this courtroom. I’ve stood in the dark there. This jury pool is already tainted. There will not be a single Republican,” said the seasoned political strategist.

However, Stone's most surprising statement included the provision that, by law, not a single Democrat can be a part of the jury, either.

“There will not be a single Democrat. There will not be a single person on this jury that does not hate Donald Trump. If the indictment claims that you denied the rights of people who voted for Biden, which it does, then by law, no one who voted for Biden can be in this jury because they would be conflicted. I don’t think the prosecutors have thought about that yet.”

Should Stone’s words come to fruition, there could be some light at the end of the tunnel for Trump in this trial.
