With Representative Greg Steube (R-FL) having filed articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, his colleague Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) appeared on Fox and Friends Weekend to talk about how House Republicans must "start stepping up and acting like the majority."
Rep. Mills used the phrase prior to the impeachment filing when he said an impeachment inquiry was "more than ready to be launched" against President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland and called on Republicans to "get unified" and "start governing."
With Rep. Steube's articles now filed, Rep. Mills said, "There are many articles of impeachment that have been filed, and rightfully so."
"There are many articles of impeachment that have been filed, and rightfully so. Whether it was looking at kind of what Congressman Steube has done with pointing out conflicts of interest, obstruction of justice, abuse of powers, or whether it is Congresswoman [Lauren] Boebert (R-CO) for the open borders, the fentanyl overdoses and the continual increase in human sex and child trafficking, or whether it was actually the 13 Gold Star families who need accountability for Joe Biden putting political optics above military strategy. So I think that we need to start looking at the fact that Republicans are going to say that we are the majority, that we have to start stepping up and acting like the majority," said Mills.
Host Will Cain asked Mills how the impeachment would aid the House Oversight Committee in "revealing the truth," to which Mills answered it would, adding that former Biden business associate Devon Archer's testimony contradicted Biden's claims of former President Donald Trump taking money from China.
"I think that it helps not only reveal the truth but as we learned from Devon Archer's testimony, it is also contrary to what Joe Biden tried to tell the American people. He tried to point the finger at President Donald J. Trump, that his family was the one taking from China when in fact he and his family were the ones taking money from China.
Whether it was Hunter Biden, Jim (the President's brother), Hallie (Beau's widow), you name the Biden Crime Family; they were actually the ones responsible for taking the funding from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, from the mayor of Moscow's wife [Elena Baturina], and three and a half million from China itself. And so I think that it helps get transparency. And again, the American people want three things when it comes to elected officials, and that is transparency, accountability, and accessibility. And these are all things that they should have when you have representation in [Washington] D.C.," Mills concluded.
