The political universe exploded on the news that former President Donald Trump was indicted by a grand jury the âSoros-fundedâ Manhattan DA Alvin Briggs convened.
The event was nothing short of seismic, as the expected indictment appears to have rallied President Trumpâs base of support, support that has been waning over the past year or so.
Could this have been the bump that Trump needed to stave off the ongoing surge Gov. Ron DeSantis has enjoyed prior to his presidential announcement that is expected to occur sometime after, or just before the 2023 legislative session concludes?
Republican lawmakers, including those who have been critical of Trump, have denounced the indictment.
Gov. DeSantis appears to have made a 180-degree turn on the matter, stating that he would block any extradition effort between Florida and New York.
Less than two weeks ago, DeSantis said that he would not get involved in the case when asked if he would block the extradition.
Trump loyalists were quick to pounce on DeSantisâs alleged âflip flop.â READ MORE
