Trump vs DeSantis

The 2023 Florida legislative session is about to begin and all eyes and ears are on President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Florida GOP vs Florida Democrats

With the Republican Party of Florida having settled on a new Chairman and Vice Chairman—Christian Ziegler and Evan Power, the DeSantis-led Republicans are now in a position to continue mowing down the Florida Democratic Party.

Florida Democrats are in shambles and are hoping that new blood a the helm of their sunken ship will invigorate its base of support.

Former State Senator Annette Taddeo is running for the seat as is former Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, along with a few other no-name candidates.

Both Taddeo and Fried have garnered a lot of endorsements, but how will it play out on February 25th?

Could there be a repeat of what happened last weekend when Republicans voted for their party leadership?

Could Democrats see both Fried and Taddeo running the show like Ziegler and Power?

This could very well be the case, but what Democrat will emerge as the de facto leader or figurehead of the Democratic Party?

Republicans have DeSantis. Whom do Democrats have?
