State Senator Lauren Book (D-35) has previously led the way for Florida Democrats, being one of the most moderate lawmakers in the Republican legislation.

However, Sen. Book has recently blasted Liberal CNN commentator Don Lemon, and has called him a "sexist."

Senator Book has dedicated her time as a State Senator to women across Florida and drafting policies to ensure gender equality.

Book has fought for a number of women's issues, most recently battling to ensure paid family leave for women after giving birth.

Ironically, Book is now firing shots at fellow Liberal, Don Lemon.  Lemon has remained a prominent voice in Liberal politics, usually gaining enemies on the political Right.  In an effort to bash Republican presidential candidate, Nikki Haley, Lemon implied that women are past their prime by their 20s through 40s.

Book seemed personally offended as she responded back to the clip on Twitter with, "Glad to know Don thinks I still have a few good years left in me," and called his claims "Sexist BS."

Book added insult to injury in a follow-up Tweet.

"Lemon has had the honor to meet & interview incredible women leaders like VP Harris, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama & more — all “past their prime” by his standards … sad & sickening," stated Book.

Followers of Lauren Book on Twitter also seemingly disapproved of Lemon's comment, claiming it was surprising to hear.

Since then, Lemon has publicly apologized, “I’m sorry that I said it,” Lemon said.

“And I certainly see why people found it completely misguided.” Lemon added “When I make a mistake, I own it,” Lemon added. “And I own this one as well.”
