Last week, Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL-17) suffered serious injuries in a nasty fall doing yardwork at his home. Thankfully, his recovery is going well and is now back at his Sarasota residence.
A recent tweet shows a clean-shaven Steube on his couch with two of his dogs and a third peeking in the background (the author is disappointed to know none of them are named "Steube-Doo").
"I am blessed to have a great support team in my wife Jennifer as well as numerous friends and family, including the Steube pups! Grateful for everyone’s prayers and well-wishes as I recover from a fractured pelvis, a punctured lung, and several torn ligaments in my neck," Rep. Steube tweets.

Additionally, he says that "while I will be sidelined in Sarasota for several weeks, I will be carrying out as many of my congressional duties as possible, and our DC and district staff continue to be readily available to assist Floridians in FL-17," concluding he is "eager to rejoin my colleagues in Washington as soon as possible!"

Among the well-wishers are Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL-23), who cracks that "Glad your [sic] doing better. Looks like I can finally take you."

Similarly, Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL-7) offers "prayers for a speedy recovery Greg."

Rep. Steube told Publisher Javier Manjarres that outside of the injuries me mentioned, and having almost debilitating muscles pains and bruises all over, he is happy to be home watching reruns of "Sanford and Sons" and getting a daily dose of the "The Price is Right."
No, Steube, who should leave the tree trimming to the experts, did not tell us that he watches those TV programs, but come on, who isn't hanging out at home watching old TV reruns while on the mend?
Manjarres, who recently had major surgery, says that while he is recovering from his wound, he is watching cable news and reruns of "Hogan's Heroes" and watching some family fun and non-violent movies like "Sicario, Fury, London Has Fallen, Midway, and Zero Dark Thirty."
