Gimenez Slams Biden Administration on Border Crisis

Share

Although Vice President Harris insists the southern border is secure, it is clear that she could not be further from the truth. Wednesday afternoon, Rep Carlos A. Gimenez (R-FL-26) tweeted a short video offering his take on the border crisis. He says that "Democrats claim migrants are crossing because of climate change."

Gimenez calls this "total BS," and it is instead "due to Biden's FAILED (emphasis his) policies." He then comments on the drug and human trafficking trade that is alive and well at the border.

"Democrats claim migrants are crossing because of climate change. Total BS. It’s due to Biden’s FAILED policies. Drugs are crossing our borders, killing countless Americans. Cartels make billions in profit trafficking women and minors. Biden REFUSES to do anything about it," his full tweet reads.

In the video itself, Gimenez states, "I've spoken to many, many. I've been to the southern border three times, I've spoken to many, many Customs and Border Protection agents. Not one of them said, "gee whiz, climate change is causing all these people to come here.""

He holds no punches as he continues, "they've all said it was the change in policies. And so let's not just stick our heads in the sand and think this climate change is causing the problem. It is the policy of the Biden administration. They actually want this to happen, they've incentivized people to come, and they're coming."

Gimenez's rhetoric escalates as he describes the cartels' drug trafficking on the border. "Not only are people coming, but also all the drugs flowing through the southern border. They're killing hundreds of thousands of our citizens, and the Biden administration refuses to do anything about it. The international drug cartels down on the southern border have declared war on the United States and they're killing thousands of American citizens. And we do nothing about it." I

n August, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL-19) had similarly blasted Democrats on their silence regarding drug trafficking on the border.

Gimenez closes his video scathingly concluding that "it has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with climate change."
