Ahead of the upcoming 2022 midterm election, President Donald Trump (R) affirmed to his supporters and to the political world at large that he would be actively involved in state and local elections. With his Republican critics losing their primary elections, President Trump is commenting on commissioner races.
As such, Trump announced that he was giving his “Complete and Total Endorsement” to “JC” Bermudez for Miami-Dade County Commissioner, District 12.
In early May, President Trump announced that he was endorsing Kevin Marino Cabrera for the Miami-Dade County Commissioner.
In a statement, Trump said that Cabrera would “represent his community with honor.”
“Kevin Cabrera will be a great member of the Miami-Dade County Commissioner,” Trump argued, adding that “In 2020, when I won Florida’s 29 electoral votes by a historic margin, Kevin was my State Director. Kevin is a brave and smart America First Conservative who supports Low Taxes and fewer Regulations on small businesses, which means more jobs!”
In his second County Commission endorsement, Trump has now endorsed "JC" Bermudez, the founding Mayor of the City of Doral.
"Juan Carlos 'JC' Bermudez is a tremendous advocate for the incredible people of Miami-Dade County!" said President Trump in his endorsement, commenting that Bermudez "has fought hard to Grow the Economy, Stop Inflation, and Restore the Great American Dream."
Trump then goes on to criticize Bermudez's primary opponent, saying that Bermudez "is running for County Commissioner in District 12 against a person who has used my name and likeness in her campaign without my permission. I don't know her, but I do know 'JC.' He is a true leader who will work tirelessly to Champion Small Businesses, End Wasteful Spending, Protect your Second Amendment, and Support our Police."
"Juan Carlos 'JC' Bermudez has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Commissioner of District 12. He will never let you down!" concluded Trump in his endorsement announcement.
