Conservative journalist and Florida Congressional candidate Laura Loomer (R) recently sat down with The Floridian to discuss transgenderism and woke education. Loomer praises Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) as being at the forefront against sexualization and encouragement of hormone replacement therapy among children and maintains that DeSantis' Parental Rights in Education bill is not the product of bigotry but rather concern for unwanted influence on children from parents.
Loomer condemned Progressives that are "trying to sexualize" children in schools by teaching them about transgenderism.
"Yeah, so, y'know, there are two genders, right? Male and female, and that's it. I do not support the degeneracy that is being perpetuated by what I like to refer to as the "LGBTQ Mafia," said Loomer. " They are trying to sexualize your children in the school system. I support Governor DeSantis' Parental Rights in Education Bill. I think that the Governor was spot-on in ending, right, the sexualization of kindergarteners through third grade, because y'know, who thinks it's acceptable to be teaching kindergarteners and children about transgenderism, and masturbation, and LGBTQ issues, right?"

Loomer: "I don't know any Republican that just hates gay people or hates transgender people. The issue becomes when you start to force those viewpoints, right, onto the citizenry, and you start to force that, against their will, onto their own children. You see now that the mainstream media and this woke leftwing ideology is trying to normalize chemical castration for children. And, again, I want to applaud Governor DeSantis for forcefully coming out against that today, and, y'know, calling it what it is, child abuse, right? And you should be arrested for child abuse if you are chemically castrating your minor child with hormone replacement therapy for transgenderism."
Loomer is not alone in her support of these views. A poll conducted in March by Public Opinion Strategies found overwhelming support for the language of the Parental Rights in Education bill, and 2/3 of those surveyed agreed it was inappropriate to teach kindergarten through third grade on gender identity.
Meanwhile, Progressive Florida lawmakers like Reps. Anna Eskamani and Carlos Guillermo Smith, continue to demonize DeSantis by calling him a bigot that simply hates the gay community.
