Rubio Releases New Ad Attacking Demings for "Abandoning Law Enforcement"

Share

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) released a conglomeration of testimonials from individuals in law enforcement criticizing former Orlando Chief of Police and now Rep. Val Demings (D-FL). Then end of the video shows a graphic that states, “Val Demings went to Washington & abandoned Florida Law Enforcement.”

A Clay County Sheriff started the video by stating, “I’m really disappointed in Val Demings position on law enforcement, especially qualified immunity.” Another Sheriff, this one from Brandon County, stated “Look at her voting record. Doesn’t matter who she says she was, or what she did in the past because apparently, it’s obvious she’s forgotten about that.” That same Sheriff would go on to mention, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, they left me. Shame on you, Val.”

Rubio tweeted the video and even pinned it to his profile, maximizing the exposure that the tweet gets when viewers go to his Twitter account. Alongside the video, the Senator stated,

“Where was Pelosi puppet Congresswoman Val Demings when rioters were torching police cars? Trying to impress the Defund the Police leftists so Biden would pick her has his VP”

On April 19th, The Floridian reported about the Florida Congresswoman and her choice to run as “Chief Demings” rather than Rep. Demings. Within that article included parts of an exclusive interview with Marco Rubio asking about Demings’ decision.

“What, she’s been in the House for six years, and has never passed a single bill. She’s done nothing.” Stated the Senator. “I mean, I imagine if I was in Congress for six years: my party was in power, the president of my party was in power, and I have nothing to show for it. She probably doesn’t want people to know she’s up there.”

The two will face off if the general election in November of 2022. According to Race to the White House, Rubio has an 87.7% chance of winning and a projected 10.6% margin of victory.
