Rick Scott Releases National Ad Calling for Biden to Resign

Share

On May 10th, The Floridian wrote an article about how Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) called President Joe Biden (D) “Incoherent, Incapacitated, and Confused.” Jim McCool, the main author of the article, reported that Washington was abuzz after Rick Scott said that “The most effective thing Joe Biden can do to solve the inflation crisis he created is resign. He’s the problem. Getting him out of office is a quick and easy solution,” and that was huge news. But now, Fox News is reporting that Rick Scott will be releasing national cable ads calling for Biden’s resignation.

Joe Biden has destroyed America’s economy,” says Scott. “it’s time to be honest with the American people. Joe Biden is unfit for office and should resign.”

According to Fox, “The ads are part of a seven-figure television buy to promote Scott’s ‘Rescue America’ plan: a 12-point guide for how Republicans can ‘save this country’ should they reclaim power after the midterms. It covers areas from education, to immigration, to the economy.”

The President has called Scott’s plan the “ultra-MAGA agenda” and falsely claimed that Rick Scott was from Wisconsin, which some might consider not a good look after your opponent calls you ‘incoherent.’

The Fox News article goes on to mention, “Though Scott chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which is leading the GOP’s effort to take back the Senate majority, the ad is funded by his own Senate reelection committee, Rick Scott for Florida. The ad will run on cable channels nationwide.”

Could this national ad campaign be a hint at a possible presidential run from the former Florida Governor? Or could this be a start of a trend of Senators creating attack ads for nationwide purposes to fulfill a goal of winning a chamber of Congress? There is no doubt, however, that Rick Scott has thrusted himself into national prominence in the last few months. And that is not by accident.
