The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) recently sent out a press release highlighting Rep and Sen. Hopeful, Val Demings (D-FL) and her apparent inconsistencies on abortion. Abortion has been the hot button issue since the leaked draft showed the High Court is most likely to overturn Roe V. Wade, a decision that has been precedent for almost 50 years.

Demonstrations and protests across the country have taken place in the streets and in front of Supreme Court Justices houses in attempt to pressure them into changing their decision.

According to the NRSC press release, in a recent interview Demings stated that she supports abortion “up until the point of viability.”

However, Demings’ voting record states otherwise. In the release it states that she voted for the Women’s Health Protection Act which protects abortions up until birth, and she voted to end the Hyde and Helms Amendments which kept taxpayers from being forced to fund abortions for others.

“Val Demings supports legalizing abortion up until the moment of birth. But don’t take our word for it, just look at her voting record.” Said NRSC Spokeswoman Priscilla Ivasco. She would go on to mention, “She votes with Nancy Pelosi and the Squad to legalized abortion up until the moment of birth and force taxpayers to pay for it, but then goes home to Florida and lies about her position. That’s what we’ve come to expect from Pelosi Puppet Val Demings.”

Demings awaits a showdown against incumbent Senator Marco Rubio in November for the Senate.
