Democrats in damage control

The political climate and future for Florida Democrats has gone bad to worse since Governor Ron DeSantis took office in 2019 as Republicans now lead Democrats in statewide voter registrations.

During the National Conference of State Legislatures this week, Gov. DeSantis announced that “for the first time in the history of Florida,” Republicans have surpassed Democrats in registered voters.

"When I got elected governor we had 280,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans in the state of Florida," Gov. Ron DeSantis  "Today, and it will probably be fully publicized very soon, for the first time in the history of Florida we have overtaken Democrats. There are more registered Republicans in Florida than Democrats."

Democrats, as you can imagine, are in damage control. They saw this coming, We all did.

The Republican voter registration “Red Wave” was seen coming for several years, and Gov. Ron DeSantis policies and pro-American agenda have galvanized Floridians and helped expedite the lead Republicans have taken over Democrats in voter registration.

The news is the proverbial Kosher Sea Salt being poured in the gaping 2020 presidential election wound Democrats have been licking since a statewide trouncing last year.

Florida Democrats are pulling out all the stops to save face with their base, asserting that Republicans only topped Democrats because DeSantis has “moved” Democrats to “an inactive voter status.”

“If the GOP wants to talk about fake news, Republicans taking the lead in registrations in FL is indeed fake news,” tweeted the Florida Democratic Party.

Democratic Party Chairman Manny Diaz, who took over after the 2020 election debacle, is desperately pushing the narrative that somehow Republicans were cheating and “playing shell games with the actual figures.”

“Stories published today on the number of registered voters did not say that Republicans are playing shell games with the actual figures. Registrations are coming predominantly from Department of Motor Vehicles registration, not an actual Republican effort as they want the public to believe,” said Chairman Diaz.

Diaz is right, the Florida GOP has not put forth some massive and organized effort to register voters as Republican.

It has been the failed Socialist-mined policies the Democratic Party and the Biden administration have set for Americans that are pushing more Floridians to register Republican.

Diaz added:

“These are nothing more than attempts by Republicans to get a press release and a headline, when in fact the numbers show other patterns, including a disproportionate number of Democrats being reclassified as inactive.

Let’s be clear here, these voters are still eligible to vote and there are still more registered Democrats than Republicans in Florida. “No one is denying that over the past several years Democrats have neglected to register voters at a rate that would maintain our edge.

However, the changes that we have been seeing recently are due more to a suspicious pattern where many more Democrats are being moved to inactive than Republican voters. Ron DeSantis seems to be proud of how many people they have kicked off the voter rolls. The rate of voter purges has skyrocketed under this Governor. Remember, they control the Department of Elections and most Supervisors of Elections offices.”

“The level of enthusiasm in support of registering Republicans is unprecedented, and this is a true milestone moment in Florida’s history,” said Helen Aguirre Ferré, Executive Director of the Republican Party of Florida.

Florida is a red state, and the Republican voter trend doesn’t appear to be slowing down, and it’s killing Democrats. Florida Democrats have drunk the Socialism Kool-Aid and have made their bed with President Joe Biden.

Democrats may not be able to recover from this self-inflicted political wound.

ADVANTAGE: Republicans
