Brian Mast Publicly Calls Out Pelosi on House Floor

Share

With a slim majority in the House,  Democrats have still managed to pass critical Build Back Better legislation with the help from 13 Republicans.  However, US Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) is not going down without a fight after calling out Speaker Pelosi on the House floor.

Reportedly, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was giving a speech in support of President Biden's (D) Build Back Better Act.  At the conclusion of this speech, Congressman Brian Mast stood up and yelled, "you can get an Emmy for that one!"

After Manu Raju Tweeted this out, Mast then confirmed the validity of the statement, Tweeting, "I will not back down!"

This interaction adds to a longtime rivalry between Mast and Pelosi, starting with earlier this year when Mast was fined $500 for not wearing a mask on the House floor.

Pelosi has since fined other Congressmen and women, especially Mast ally, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).  Greene has now faced up to $48,000 in fines for not masking in the US House.

If the GOP flips the House in 2022, which a lot of polls seem to be predicting, do not only expect to see the Biden agenda slowed down, but a ton of changes coming to the demeanor of the House Chamber.
