As the infamous Border Crisis persists, the problem has hit new lows.  Even top Democrats such as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) have called out for action.  However, governor candidate Lt. Colonel Allen West (R-TX) has been consistent on this issue since the beginning, and now applauds current Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick for finally taking his Constitutional lead.

The Border Crisis unfortunately has been downplayed by the numerous other headlines breaking out of Washington under this new administration.  West has long referenced Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 that "gives us the right to defend ourselves and protect ourselves against invasion," West claims he just spoke about to a Women's Republican club meeting.

West responded to Lt. Governor Dan Patrick (R-TX) who according to West, started speaking about the same Constitutional argument on the Lara Ingraham Show:

"I'm glad that finally Dan Patrick, and I guess the governor, have been listening to my videos and following me and understanding they need to do things by the Constitution.  But the question is, what are they going to do about it?  You can sit around and say you're going to evoke something out of the Constitution, but when are we going to defend and secure the Texas Republic?"

West claims he knows the governor and lt. gov are listening because he is "out on the campaign trail, quoting the Constitution and challenging them to protect the people of Texas, protect our safety and security, protect the sovereignty of the Lone Star State."
