Florida College Pushes False 'Republicans are Fascist' Narrative

Republicans and Conservatives blame academia for trying to indoctrinate students with liberal and socialist teachings, and while it doesn’t seem fair to accuse them of such political mind control, educators and publishers of the books they teach from bring it upon themselves as many continue to teach that Republicans are Fascist.

College professors and universities are notorious for using “liberal” publishing’s to teach students and now they are being called out for doing so, and in some cases, anti-Semitic rhetoric is being disseminated to students as is the case with a Criminal Justice class at Florida International University (FIU)

Now, an online book through Rice University's OpenStax program is being used to teach students National Government at Broward College in Broward County, Florida, is pushing a false narrative that Republicans lean towards Fascism in their depiction of the “U.S. Political Spectrum” and want to completely control society.

In the book’s defense, Democrats are depicted as leaning towards Socialism and Communism, which is accurate considering the exact definitions of those political ideologies.

There is the diagram the book is using:

“Fascism promotes total control of the country by the ruling party or political leader. This form of government will run the economy, the military, society, and culture, and often tries to control the private lives of its citizens. Authoritarian leaders control the politics, military, and government of a country, and often the economy as well.”

This very definition of Fascism sounds accurate and conjures up memories of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany and even the Communist regimes in the old Soviet Union, North Korea, and Cuba.

But in the book's definition of “Modern Conservativism,” which many Republicans identify with, Conservatives or Republicans “prefer a smaller government that stays out of the economy, allowing the market and business to determine prices, wages, and supply.”

Does this definition sound fascist to you”

Exactly.

Communism sounds eerily similar to Fascism, and is the “Control of Society.”

“In theory, communism promotes common ownership of all property, means of production, and materials. This means that the government, or states, should own the property, farms, manufacturing, and businesses. By controlling these aspects of the economy, Communist governments can prevent the exploitation of workers while creating an equal society. Extreme inequality of income, in which some citizens earn millions of dollars a year and other citizens merely hundreds, is prevented by instituting wage controls or by abandoning currency altogether. Communism presents a problem, however, because the practice differs from the theory. The theory assumes the move to communism is supported and led by the proletariat, or the workers and citizens of a country.25 Human rights violations by governments of actual Communist countries make it appear the movement has been driven not by the people, but by leadership.”

This is Academia at its worst. So, do you believe Democrats are Communists, and Republicans are Fascists?
