Gaetz Calls Fauci a 'Bad Weatherman' to COVID

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the globe. New variants of the virus are being reported, and Florida Republicans are still calling for China to be held accountable for the outbreak. As well, new CDC guidelines being released for those that have already received the. COVID-19 vaccine, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz (R) is criticizing Dr. Anthony Fauci, calling him a “bad weatherman” who is “frequently wrong, but never in doubt.”

Gaetz has been a sharp critic of the Chinese Communist Party, and he has also questioned the. Guidance of Dr. Fauci regarding the closing of states, the closing of schools and the federal government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In an interview with FOX News, the Republican lawmaker criticized how “China ends up benefiting greatly from the unilateral disarmament of the American economy in places like New York and California.” However, he praised Florida for its alternative response, expressing the fact that “the problems that the CDC and Fauci have had really erode the trust that exists between the people and any public health officials.”

Gaetz detailed that because Fauci and public health officials are “constantly changing the rules,” which makes the public trust them less and less. He shared his disappointment in Fauci and officials “moving the goalpost,” and this has caused the American people to be “fed up with it.”
