After 2 FBI agents were shot and killed in the line of duty earlier this week in Sunrise, Florida, President Joe Biden extended his condolences and managed to insult FBI agents in the very same breath.
President Biden said that the “vast majority” of FBI agents were “decent honorable people.”
“Every single day, every single one of these folks gets up, and by and large, the vast, vast majority of these men and women are decent honorable people that put their lives on the line and we owe them,” Biden said.
Biden received significant backlash for even insinuating that there were bad FBI agents, so when the question as to why he said what he said about the FBI came up during the daily White House press conference, Press Secretary Jenn Psaki summed up what the president meant by his statement.
“That’s exactly what he meant,” stated Psaki before quickly moving on to another reporter.
