Progressive Florida State Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith’s floor remark denouncing Republican Rep. Tom Fabricio’s statement that “many people have died as a result of Socialism, is being met by strong bipartisan opposition, including a rebuffing by Senator Marco Rubio, who called on Democrats to denounce Rep. Smith's "ill-informed comments" on socialism. 

In using the Deferred Enforced Departure program, it would provide protection for Venezuelans that evading the humanitarian crisis in the country perpetrated by the Maduro regime.

Freshman Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D) has falsely accused  Senator Marco Rubio (R) of refusing to “support TPS for Venezuelans,” alleging that the senior senator from Florida has been presented with “numerous opportunities” to do so.

Republicans are blaming Democrats, and Democrats are blaming Republicans for the latest failure to pass a comprehensive Venezuela TPS bill in the U.S. Senate.

The Trump administration has levied crippling economic sanctions, including crude oil restrictions, against the Maduro regime, including specific sanctions against the dictator himself and his family.

House and Senate Democrats are furious at Senate Republicans, claiming that Republicans blocked Venezuela TPS legislation in that chamber of Congress, as well as continuing to say that the Trump administration has not done enough for Venezuelans.
