Former Florida Sen. Democratic Leader Lauren Book shared that she has received an endorsement from the Palm Beach Post Editorial Board in her Senate District 30 bid.
"With so much at stake for Florida families, we need leaders who understand the challenges facing our communities and have the experience to deliver real results," Book wrote on social media. "I’m honored to earn The Palm Beach Post’s editorial board endorsement, and I’m ready to keep building on our work to protect children, support families, and hold Tallahassee accountable."

The Palm Beach Post credited Book for her prior leadership, including work on insurance oversight, bolstering child protection laws, and defending gun safety legislation in their endorsement.
"The people of Senate District 30 deserve a senator who shows up, does the work, and never loses sight of who we serve," Book added.
Book served as Leader from 2021 to 2024 and eight years in the Senate representing part of Broward County. SD 30 covers southern Palm Beach County, including part of Boca Raton, and northwest Broward County to include Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, and Deerfield Beach.
She announced her run in June, writing, "I’ve spent my life fighting for children, families, survivors, and communities too often overlooked or ignored — and I’m ready to bring that fight back to Tallahassee."
Book is looking to replace Sen. Tina Polsky (D-Boca Raton) in the seat after she decided to not seek re-election. Polsky, who has served SD 30 since 2022, congratulated Book on her run.
Along with the Palm Beach Post and Sen. Polsky, Book has received support from Sen. Democratic Leader Lori Berman (D-Boynton Beach) and Sen. Mack Bernard (D-West Palm Beach).
Republican Hector Rivera is challenging Book for the seat. If history is any indicator, Book might be back in Tallahassee soon.
Polsky defeated Republican William Reicherter by 11 points in the 2022 general election.
The general election is Nov. 3.
