Governor Ron DeSantis is pulling no punches when it comes to supporting Amendment 3, soon to be decided on the forthcoming Florida General Election Ballot.
Commenting from his personal X account, DeSantis reminded his followers that famed economist "Milton Friedman backs Amendment 3!" and that Florida needs to "stop the property tax insanity!"-
DeSantis and others have also noticed that certain counties and municipalities are preemptively announcing cuts to both essential and discretionary services even before Amendment 3 has been voted on!
It's rather apparent at this point that once a more engaged public focuses their attention on public budgets and starts demanding full transparency, many elected officials react defensively and fear a full accounting of every last taxpayer dollar.
