President Donald Trump has released a short video encouraging voters in Florida's 16th Congressional District to vote for Sydney Gruters as the Republican nominee in the upcoming August primary.
The Video
"A very special hello to Florida," President Trump began. "There's an incredibly important primary election coming up in your state on Tuesday, August 18th, and I'm asking you to get out and vote for Sydney Gruters to represent Florida's 16th Congressional District in Congress."
Trump lauded Gruters as "phenomenal" and "an absolutely unbelievable winner" who has lived "the dedicated life."
"I mean, she's put her whole life into servicing and serving a community, and is one of the fiercest America First advocates in the country," he continued. "She works so hard. She never gives up. She never stops, and she doesn't lose."
Trump further emphasized how Gruters will "fight tirelessly to create jobs, cut taxes, slash regulations, reduce the cost of living, and create the greatest economy that the world has ever seen, which we're in right now."
"So go vote for Sydney Gruters for Congress on August 8th. I know her well. I know her husband well. She's a winner. She's not going to let you down. She's going to beat everybody, and she will not take any nonsense from anyone," Trump concluded.
Gruters's Response
In a statement, Gruters expressed gratitude for the video, saying, "I am deeply honored by President Trump's confidence and grateful for his complete and total endorsement."
"President Trump is fighting every day to lower costs, secure the border, and rebuild our economy, and I am ready to be a strong partner in that fight," she continued. "As a mother of three who has spent nearly 20 years serving Southwest Florida, I will work every day to deliver results for the families, seniors, veterans, and farmers of Florida's 16th District."
