Republican congressional candidate Belinda Keiser, vice chancellor of Keiser University, has struck first at two of her contested primary race opponents, businessman Michael Carbonara and businessman and U.S. Marine veteran Casey Askar.
In a recent campaign text message, Keiser's official campaign made a bold claim to draw first blood, taking a swipe at Carbonara and Askar directly from her campaign.
As we previously mentioned, this race has boiled down to a 3-way race between Askar, Carbonara, and Keiser.
The hits on Askar and Carbonara are similar.
There hasn't been any official polling in this race, so there is no way to know who is in the lead. This race is considered a toss-up, and the White House is paying very close attention.
Recently, an anonymous website traced back to foreign actors attacked Askar over his past divorce and his 2020 congressional primary race against Rep. Byron Donalds.
In addition, a Super PAC has attacked Keiser for her past support of liberal Democrats and her deep business ties to Communist China.
No one has attacked Carbonara, but that will probably change. The lifelong Independent who has "never voted in a Republican primary," as Keiser claims, also donated to Democrats when he lived in New York. Carbonara is named in a couple of lawsuits, one over fraud, and the other claiming that "he condoned the sexual assault of an employee."
