An anonymous political website attacking congressional candidate and Trump ally Casey Askar appears to have been created to support Belinda Keiser. Still, it may have been created by a shadow group to give that illusion because they think that Askar is a bigger threat in the general election.
The site is nothing to brag about, as it tries to embellish regurgitated digs on Askar that were first used 6 years ago.
In reality, the allegations against him don't seem to measure up to a serious speeding infraction or even a DUI arrest. Whoever created this site has to be new to politics.
So, who put out the attack site?
Was it Keiser? Nope.
Was it Democrats or a shadeow group who see Askar as the bigger threat to them in the general election?
Maybe.
On the "X" social media platform, dozens of bots, which appear to originate from overseas, started attacking Askar's relationship with President Donald Trump.
According to Askar, he played a significant role in helping President Trump win the state of Michigan during the 2024 presidential election cycle.
"Casey and his wife, Shera, are longtime supporters of President Trump. During a lengthy private meeting with President Trump in the 2024 campaign, the President tasked Casey with organizing the turnout of a key voting group. The results? Casey helped the President deliver a win for America by setting a history-making record turnout by Chaldean Catholic Christians," states Askar's campaign website.
Here are two of the anti-Trump, anti-Askar posts:

The Allegations
Aside from the claim that Askar has "No policy depth or local knowledge," the main allegation is that he was part of a "Sham divorce" and evicted his ex-wife and children from his home.
He is also accused of being a carpetbagger for running in the newly drawn 22nd Congressional district. Just about everyone running in congressional seats across the state is a carpetbagger after the Florida Legislature redrew all of the congressional lines.
They are trying to say that Askar has a questionable military service because at the time, Askar did not address his military service within 90 days. The site also mentions that Florida Politics made a public records request for Askar's military records. The U.S. Military does not furnish a DD214 document to anyone other than the veteran themselves or their surviving family. That is a fact.

Initially, when you cliked on "LEARN MORE ABOUT BELINDA" you would be re-directed, now the link is broken.
How do we know this?
The Floridian recently spoke to a spokesman of the military records division when we requested Lt. Gov. Jay Collins' DD214. They could not honor our request.
The smear website did feel compelled to state the truth. It appears as if it pained them to do so.
"Records eventually confirmed service from 1988 to 1992; he was discharged at the rank of Private after four years"
In addition, they dinged Askar for suing Rep. Byron Donalds after losing in the 2022 Republican congressional primary race in CD 19.

Askar sued Rep. Donalds after his wife was attacked during the campaign, and after he was falsely accused of sending out a false election day tweet against the now-congressman.
In the end, both Donalds and Askar were made aware that it was another candidate in the race that put out the tweet in question, not Askar.
Florida's primary election is August 18, and from the looks of it, shadow groups most likely will try to make the election about Trump and attack candidates like Askar who align themselves with the president.
