Representative Kathy Castor (D-FL) and other Florida Representatives reaffirmed their support for the State of Israel, emphasizing the United States' longstanding alliance with the Jewish State and the importance of containing Iran as hostilities between the Middle Eastern countries continue.

"Iranian Ayatollah Khamenei and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard have destabilized the Middle East for decades," Rep. Castor began, adding, "Nuclear weapons in the hands of Iranian hardliners is an existential threat, and nations across the globe have consistently warned Iran to abandon its push to nuclear armament."

Rep. Castor further thanked the personnel of MacDill Air Force Base, located in her Congressional District, saying she is "grateful for the leadership at MacDill Air Force Base, home to the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) that oversees American national security in the Middle East for their steadfast service and protection of American interests and servicemembers."

"I urge the Trump Administration to do everything in its power to protect U.S. citizens and U.S. personnel now and in the days ahead as the situation unfolds," the Florida Congresswoman concluded.

Representative Carlos Gimenez (R-FL), who previously discussed the possibility of regime change in Iran with Fox Business, said, "The regime in #Iran must be destroyed. Israel will win. Democracy will prevail."

"President @realDonaldTrump has been right to consistently say that Iran must never get a nuclear weapon," posted Representative Mario Diaz Balart (R-FL), adding, "Israel is fighting to prevent that from happening."

These posts are the latest to come from Florida's Congressional delegation, as Representatives Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) and Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), along with Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) previously expressed their support for Israel and opposition to Iran in recent comments.

"Israel did NOT start this war—Iran did," said Rep. Salazar, adding, "Israel is simply doing what any other nation threatened by an oppressive regime that openly calls for its eradication would do: protect its citizens and ensure its survival."

Similarly, Rep. Moskowitz said, "A regime that promises death to America and Israel can never be allowed to achieve nuclear capabilities. I support Israel’s right to defend itself from a nuclear Iran—an unacceptable end that would put Israel and our other allies in constant danger and undermine world stability."

Finally, Sen. Scott emphasized how "Iran cannot be allowed to have a nuclear weapon. The world will be a safer place once Iran’s nuclear facilities and capabilities are destroyed."
