U.S. Representatives from the state of Florida provided their thoughts as the Inflation Reduction Act enters its second year as the law of the land.
The bill, signed by President Joe Biden (D), has been applauded by Democrats such as Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), who stated that the legislation has helped make sure wealthy companies “pay their fair share.”
For decades, wealthy corporations have been dodging their taxes.

She would also provide a graphic demonstrating that insulin prices have decreased dramatically in her district since the Inflation Reduction Act was signed by the President.
With the historic #InflationReductionAct, Democrats passed legislation one year ago today to create clean energy jobs, lower health care costs, cap prescription costs, like insulin.

Similarly, Representative Frederica Wilson (D-FL) listed the positive returns from the legislation in District 24.
1 year since Democrats passed the #InflationReductionAct, we’ve already seen results in District 24:
🤝🏾37.9k jobs
⚡️1.5k clean energy FL jobs
🏥$570 in yearly healthcare premium savings
💊$430 in yearly insulin savings for Medicaid beneficiaries

However, Republicans such as Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) called the Inflation Reduction Act a “$1 trillion boondoggle of a bill.”
Even Biden knows that his "Inflation Reduction Act" was a lie. The American people know this $1 TRILLION boondoggle of a bill did nothing to lower inflation. If anything, the IRA has made energy and daily goods even more expensive.

Representative John Rutherford (R-FL) stated that the name Inflation Reduction Act is ironic because “inflation is still high.”
Today marks one year since Democrats' Inflation Reduction Act became law. Contrary to the name, inflation is still high, and Americans are still struggling to make ends meet. We can't afford this Administration's far-left agenda. https://t.co/mQcRwBxW1Y

The bill was passed in the Democrat-controlled House and Senate at the time.
