Georgia Representative Hank Johnson (D) recently claimed Republicans support illegal immigration as a source of cheap labor. More egregiously, he added Republicans would "gladly" bring back slavery. Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) clapped back in a Fox News Sunday appearance, mocking his infamous comments on Guam "capsizing."

".@RepHankJohnson is the same person that thought Guam would capsize if it were overpopulated, so I don't give much thought to anything he says. But to everyone else, Republicans have a serious plan to secure the border and protect the American people," Rep. Donalds tweeted.

Host Shannon Bream played footage of Rep. Johnson speaking at a House Judiciary hearing, where he said, "Republicans like to see [illegal immigrants] lined up at the border because they know that's a stream of labor ready to be exploited."

"Republicans like to see [illegal immigrants] lined up at the border because they know that's a stream of labor ready to be exploited. If you could get back to slavery, you would gladly do so," said Johnson.

Rep. Donalds said he had "no response" to Johnson's comment, especially after he had infamously stated Guam would "capsize" from overpopulation.

In 2010, Johnson spoke before the House Armed Services Committee about a plan to build a new base on the island of Guam, where he said, "My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize."

In addition to ridiculing this gaffe of Johnson's, Donalds stated that Republicans "want to see a secure and orderly process at our southern border."

"I have no response to Hank on this. Hank also thought Guam was going to tip over, so that doesn't make any sense at all. What Republicans want to see is a secure and orderly process at our southern border," said Donalds.
