Appearing on the Fox News Channel's "Sunday Morning Futures" with Host Maria Bartiromo, combat veteran and congressional candidate Cory Mills just stated what many Floridians, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, believe—Florida is America.
Gov. DeSantis has coined the term "Florida First," and now it appears Mills put his "Florida is America" stamp on the 2022 midterm elections, as the state will once again be the focus of American politics with Senator Marco Rubio and Gov. DeSantis both up for re-election next year.
Mills began the interview by taking a jab at the "Build Back Broke" Biden economic agenda and noted that his opponent, Rep. Stephanie Murphy, is "clearing supporting people who are self-described Democratic Socialists like AOC" before praising DeSantis and the "phenomenal job of stopping these unconstitutional, un-American mandate."
"Governor DeSantis has done a phenomenal job of stopping these unconstitutional un-American mandates, he is continued to support the country by opening our ports whenever California failed and Pete Buttigieg was on leave, on vacation while we had ships moored off that was impacting our economy," said Mills. So again, Florida is America. we welcome you here. We have an open economy. We have no mask mandates, and we have the lowest COVID rate right now, so again, Florida is America."

In a text to The Floridian, Mills expounded more on this statement, referring to the state as "the free state of Florida" and that he was "honored to be a son of Florida."
Mills's statement:
"Florida is about freedoms and liberties and not about suppressive, unconstitutional, and un-American mandates. We believe in parental rights, school choice, a strong economy, and support for the American dream.
I’m a kid who came from a broken home and lived just above the poverty line. But through hard work and sacrifice, I was able to be a part of the American dream. The dream started here in the free state of Florida. I’m honored to be a son of Florida"
