Florida Lt. Governor Jay Collins confirmed the arrest of a 15-year-old in connection with the shooting near Florida A&M University (FAMU) that injured 12 people, including six children.
A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the shooting near FAMU that injured 12 people. This is heartbreaking on every level. Families are hurting, lives have been changed, and a young person is now facing serious consequences.
We have a responsibility to teach our kids right from wrong, that actions have consequences, and that violence is never the answer.
I commend the Tallahassee Police Department for their swift action and stand with law enforcement as they continue their investigation.
