As Israel marks three years since the horrific Oct. 7 terrorist attacks by Hamas, Florida lawmakers took the time to commemorate the event, condemning the atrocities and remembering the more than 1,200 lives lost and over 250 hostages taken in the tragedy.
Congresswoman Frankel Introduces Resolution Recognizing Attacks
Congresswoman Lois Frankel (D-Fla.) joined colleagues to introduce a bipartisan resolution recognizing the third anniversary of the attacks, honoring the victims and hostages, calling for a complete disarmament of Hamas and for an end to the conflict in Gaza.
“Three years later, the horror of October 7 remains seared into our hearts,” Rep. Frankel said. “We remember those who were murdered, honor the survivors and hostages and their families, and stand firmly against antisemitism and terrorism.”
“Now we must build a future where Hamas is disarmed, Israel is safe and secure, and Palestinians and Israelis can live in peace and dignity.”
Rep. Moskowitz Commits To Honoring Victims
Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) issued a separate statement affirming his commitment to honor those lost.
“October 7 was the deadliest day for the Jewish community since the Holocaust,” Rep. Moskowitz wrote. “We must never forget what happened that day or the people whose lives were stolen.”
“Honoring those who were killed on October 7 demands more than remembrance. It demands the courage to confront antisemitism wherever it comes from, reject efforts to justify terrorism, and stand beside our Jewish neighbors when they need us most.”
Congressman Fine Thanks President Trump For His Aid
Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) took the time to remember the victims and to thank President Donald Trump for his help in bringing back the hostages during the conflict.
“We remember the murdered. We remember the hostages,” Rep. Fine wrote on X.
Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists slaughtered 1,200 innocent people and dragged hundreds more into captivity.
We remember the murdered.
We remember the hostages.
We are grateful to President Trump for bringing them all home when nobody thought it was possible.
We hope the monsters who committed these atrocities burn in hell.
Never forget October 7th — never again.

Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) honored the victims while affirming his solidarity with the Jewish community both in Florida and Israel.
“As your U.S. Senator, I am proud to stand with Florida’s Jewish communities and families as we remember and honor the lives lost on October 7th and continue to stand firmly against antisemitism wherever it arises,” Sen. Scott said.
