The Trump administration has launched America.gov, a comprehensive website that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help streamline government information and services for Americans – merging 29,000 websites into one.

“President Trump is delivering on his promise to ensure the government works FOR Americans with one of the most revolutionary product launches in history,” the White House wrote on X. “Get answers from thousands of government websites – all in one place, with a single swipe.”

The Site's Function

The site aims to ensure Americans can get accurate answers to common questions, communicate in plain language, and complete transactions without going through multiple federal agencies’ websites.

The website also integrates AI, now known as Super Intelligence (SI), to assist users on the platform, while preserving their personal privacy.

According to U.S. Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia, the website's SI is powered by Google’s Gemini and Elon Musk’s Grok.

Quicker Government Services

In 2027, users will also be able to complete tasks like passport renewals and Medicare enrollment through the website.

Secretary Rubio Showcases New Passport Renewals

During the recent “Hello, America” event, Secretary of State Marco Rubio elaborated on the initiative, including a new design for U.S. passports launching in 2028.

“Starting next year, Americans will be able to apply for their first passport entirely online,” Secretary Rubio announced.

According to Secretary Rubio, once a user is logged into the website through login.gov, they can ask the SI: “How do I apply for my first passport?”

The SI will securely provide the user with their information without requiring manual input.

Users can take their own passport photo with unlimited attempts and then proceed to payment checkout.

The website will also let users see their estimated delivery time with an online tracker like most online orders.

“You tell America.gov what you’re trying to do and it walks you through every single step and tells you exactly what comes next,” Secretary Rubio said.
