Former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer laid out his closing policy points in his bid for the Republican nomination in Florida's 25th Congressional District through a social media post this week.

Singer's points include:

  • Securing the U.S. border and enforcing immigration laws.
  • Standing with Isreal and fighting against antisemitism.
  • Supporting President Donald Trump's "America First" agenda.
  • "Peace through strength," keeping Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
  • Lowering taxes, cutting spending, holding D.C. accountable.
  • Cutting costs for American families by slashing waste, fraud, and overregulation.
  • Protecting parental rights and expanding school choice.
  • Reducing crime and backing law enforcement.

Singer is competing against George Moraitis, Raven Harrisson, and Joe Kaufman for the Republican bid on Aug. 18. Incumbent Jared Moskowitz and Oliver Larkin are competing on the Democratic ticket.

District 25 stretches from Delray Beach in Palm Beach County to Miami Beach in Miami-Dade County in South Florida. Boca Raton, which Singer was mayor of from 2018 to 2026, is also in the district.

Moskowitz, who currently represents Florida's 23rd Congressional District, announced his run CD 25 in May. A centrist Democrat, Moskowitiz will likely face the Republican who wins tomorrow's primary.

A familiar face in the region, Singer has secured several local endorsements in his bid, including from Delray Beach Mayor Tom Carney, Deerfield Beach Mayor Todd Drosky, Bay Harbor Islands Mayor Issac Salver, Bal Harbour Mayor Seth Salvar, Surfside Mayor Shlomo Danzinger, and Golden Beach Mayor Glenn Singer.

He also has been endorsed by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier and U.S. Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL).

CD 25 was redrawn by the Florida Legislature in April and signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in May.

According to Polymarket, Singer is the prohibitive favorite in the race followed by Franzese, Moraitis, and Raven Harrison. However, a poll from earlier this month puts Franzese in the top spot followed by Moraitis, Singer, Kaufman, and Harrison.
