A new poll conducted by Fabrizio, Lee & Associates shows Congressman and Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL) over the critical 50% threshold against his Republican primary opponents in the governor's race.

Byron Donalds: 53%

Jay Collins: 10%

James Fishback: 9%

Paul Renner: 4%

The results come after another Fabrizio, Lee & Associates poll showing Rep. Donalds over the 50% mark in May. An Associated Industries of Florida poll also had Donalds over the 50% mark from June.

Notably, all three polls have Rep. Donalds with a 40-point or greater advantage over the Republican field. In fact, outside of the latest Fabrizio poll showing Lt. Gov. Collins at 10%, all three candidates are otherwise in single digits.

While detractors might call them outliers, Donalds still has massive leads in other polls. A Cygnal poll has Donalds up 32 points on Lt. Gov. Collins, 31 points up on James Fishback, and 41 points up on Paul Renner.

In addition, Donalds holds 40 and 30-point advantages over the entire field in an Emerson College and Stetson University poll from April.

Based on the history, the only question might be how much Donalds is going to win by, not if he's going to win at all. And with the Republican primary in less than a month, the clock is ticking for Collins, Fishback, and Renner to make up ground on the frontrunner.

Donalds also appears to be pretty confident in chances, going as far as challenging presumptive Democratic nominee David Jolly to three general election debates through a social media post this week.

But that's for another day. Donalds still has to get through the Republican primary, and Collins, Fishback, and Renner don't seem to be throwing in the towel at this point.

While Donalds is endorsed by President Donald Trump, virtually the entire Republican delegation, and has a hefty fundraising advantage - to quote the Yankees Hall of Fame catcher Yogi Berra "It ain't over till it's over."

The primary is Aug. 18.
