Congressional candidate Keith Gross, one of the Republican primary challengers for congressional district 2 to replace Rep. Neal Dunn (R-FL), has stated that he will join the Sharia-Free America Caucus if he is elected to office. Gross, a veteran, is among the growing number of Republican congressional candidates who are vowing to join the Sharia Free Caucus in the House of Representatives if they are elected to Congress.

"Sharia law has no place in America. Individual liberty is a bedrock principle in our nation," Gross said in a recent statement, adding, "We must stop inviting foreigners who move to our country and enact their belief systems. If someone comes to our nation, they should assimilate to our values, not try to push their broken ideology on Americans. I look forward to joining the No Sharia Caucus in Congress."

Gross further suggested that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) should be designated as a terrorist organization and that "the rise of Muslim extremism inside the USA is a direct result of failures in Congress. They've been asleep at the wheel and have failed to ensure that our immigration policies work for US Citizens."

"I will always put America first," he declared. "If we allow immigration at all, it must benefit American Citizens. We need a full stop immigration pause until we can reevaluate who and how many our nation needs. What we have right now is a pathway to destroying our nation."

Gross is not the only Florida Republican running for congress that is vowing to stand against the encroachment of Sharia law in the United States, as his competitor for District 2, Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power, told The Floridian in April, "I will join Day 1. You're seeing a lot of great people join. I think what you have to understand is that our country is founded on certain values and principles."

Similarly, Ola Hawatmeh, one of the many seeking to replace Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) in congressional district 19, said, "The savage and inhumane practice of Sharia Law has no place in American society, nor do the Islamists that promote and defend it."

The Sharia-Free America Caucus has gained a considerable number of members already serving in the House of Representatives, with Representative Randy Fine (R-FL), already an outspoken critic of Islam, joining in January.
