President Donald Trump affirmed that all combat troops, aircrafts, and warships will remain around Iran “until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with.”
The president’s statement comes after the Islamic Republic closed the Strait of Hormuz once again in response to Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
“All U.S. Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The U.S. and Iran both claimed victory after reaching a 2-week ceasefire, which included the reopening of the maritime checkpoint.
Along with the ceasefire agreement, Iran proposed a 10-point peace deal.
Within the peace deal, Iran called for the continued ability to “enrich uranium for its nuclear program” and for a “ceasefire on all fronts, including Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon,” according to Nour News, an Iranian Supreme National Council-backed media outlet.
Despite reaching the agreement, Israel intensified its strikes on the Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon. Israeli forces struck commercial and residential areas in Beirut, leading to at least 182 people killed.
“If for any reason it is not, which is highly unlikely, then the “Shootin’ Starts,” bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before. It was agreed, a long time ago, and despite all of the fake rhetoric to the contrary - NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS and, the Strait of Hormuz WILL BE OPEN & SAFE,” President Trump added in his statement.
President Trump concluded his message with a vague remark sharing that U.S. forces will remain at rest until its “next Conquest.”
“In the meantime our great Military is Loading Up and Resting, looking forward, actually, to its next Conquest. AMERICA IS BACK!”
