Congressional candidate and Mayor Scott Singer (R-Boca Raton) announced several endorsements in his bid to take over U.S. Rep Jared Moskowitz's (D-Fla.) seat in the upcoming 2026 Midterm elections.

In a press release issued on Mar. 19, Mayor Singer revealed that Deerfield Beach Mayor Todd Drosky and City Commissioner Michael Hudak, Highland Beach Mayor Natasha Moore, Weston Mayor Peggy Brown, Delray Beach Mayor Tom Carney, Hillsboro Beach Commissioner Jane Reiser, and former Hillsboro Beach Mayor Deb Tarrant have endorsed his campaign for Florida’s 23rd Congressional District.

“I'm grateful for the support of these key local leaders. Each knows that I will put the interests of our communities' citizens first. They understand my work ethic and the principles I will bring to the position," Mayor Singer shared. "They know I will always support policies that protect our families, our safety, and the livelihoods of our communities. I look forward to working with each of these distinguished individuals when elected.”

Singer served three terms as Mayor of Boca Raton, first being elected to the City Council in 2014. He was re-elected in 2017 as deputy mayor before taking over the remainder of Mayor Susan Haynie’s term in April of 2018. He was subsequently elected mayor in August of 2018.

“I’m supporting Scott Singer’s candidacy for Congress because I’ve witnessed what his leadership has done to improve his local community,” Mayor Moore said in her endorsement. “He has been a strong advocate for Boca Raton’s citizens over his tenure in office. He has my full support. I wish him the best of luck, and I look forward to working with him in his future capacity to better all our local communities.”

For the 2026 mayoral race, Singer did not run for re-election. City Council member Andy Thompson was elected mayor on Mar. 13 by a low margin of less than 0.01%
