President Donald Trump addressed the U.S. military and Israel’s joint military "Operation Epic Fury" on Iran during a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House.

President Trump confirmed that the U.S. military is continuing to execute “large-scale” operations in Iran in an effort to eliminate the “grave threats” the Islamic Republic has posed to the U.S.

While speaking at the Medal of Honor ceremony today, President Trump expressed that Iran “ignored” warnings against Tehran’s attempts to continue nuclear enrichment following the U.S.’s Operation Midnight Hammer that struck three Iranian nuclear sites on June 22, 2025.

“The purpose of this fast-growing missile program” was to “shield” the nuclear development program, President Trump said when referring to the increased Iranian ballistic missile program, arguing that the programs threatened American lives.

President Trump blamed former President Barack Obama for the Iran Nuclear Deal reached to halt Iran’s nuclear program, which the Trump administration had pulled out of during his first term in 2018.

"I was very proud to have knocked out the Iran nuclear deal by President Barack Hussein Obama," the president touted. "That was a horrible, horrible, dangerous document. They would have had nuclear weapons three years ago, and they would have used them,” he added, affirming that he prevented the possibility through his administration’s actions.

During the ceremony, President Trump addressed the potential timeline for "Operation Epic Fury," stating, “whatever the time is, it’s okay.”

“We’re already substantially ahead of our time projections,” President Trump remarked. “Whatever it takes, we will always, and we have, right from the beginning, we projected four to five weeks, but we have capability to go far longer than that. We’ll do it.”
