The American Promise 501c(4) has published another public opinion poll on Florida's 2026 gubernatorial race, and it appears that Rep. Byron Donalds' support continues to grow even as other prominent Republicans keep pressing their gubernatorial campaigns.
The survey, which comprises 800 likely Republican primary voters and has a margin of error of +/- 3.46%, shows that Rep. Donalds' support grew to 44%. In addition, the poll also shows that once likely Republican voters know that Donalds was endorsed by President Donald Trump, that 44% support jumps to 62%.
Also, the poll shows that the rest of the field of Republican gubernatorial candidates failed to exceed 5% support.
Another interesting data point in the poll is the undecided or "unsure" voters who were surveyed.
President Trump recently reaffirmed his support for Donalds.
"Byron will be a great governor!!! President DJT," stated the 47th President of the United States on his Truth Social media account.
President Trump endorsed Rep. Donalds hours after The Floridian broke the story that Governor Ron DeSantis was calling donors and asking them not to donate to Rep. Donalds. It was thought that President Trump would not help tip the scales in the race, but we have learned that is exactly what he is expected to do.
Has the Fat Lady already begun to sing in Florida's gubernatorial sweepstakes?

Methodology
From February 23rd through the 26th, the American Promise conducted a mixed-mode survey of
n = 800 likely Republican primary voters in Florida. Our sample consisted of 76% live dial
completes and 24% text-to-web. The survey’s margin of error is +/- 3.46%, and nearly every
voter in our sample has prior primary vote history (40% 3-of-3 | 27% 2-of-3 | 32% 1-of-3).
