Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) came out swinging in support of the SAVE America Act in a recent address on the House floor, holding nothing back in condemning Democrats' opposition to the bill.

Sharing a clip of her comments in X, Rep. Luna expressed, "IF YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN YOU DO NOT GET TO VOTE IN OUR ELECTIONS. This is not some radical extremist position; it's common sense, and it's the ONLY way to secure our elections moving forward. If we don't send the SAVE America Act to President Trump's desk, we lose our nation."

In her address, Rep. Luna commented, "My colleagues are spending a lot of time lecturing the American people on how this is going to require you to show your papers," noting that Democrats were strongly in favor of requiring paperwork "if you simply wanted to go to a funeral, be with your loved ones while they were dying, or get married," during the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, she commented that the SAVE America Act "is being labeled by people in the Senate and people in this very chamber as Jim Crow-era laws," pointing out that the Democratic Party was historically in favor of Jim Crow legislation, and, in the present day, "are insulting over 70% of your voters, Democrats who believe that voter ID is the best way to secure an election."

The Florida congresswoman dismissed conspiracy theories suggesting that President Donald Trump is attempting to fix the midterm elections, saying, "If we [Republicans] are going to play that game, then you would want voter ID. You would want to secure the elections."

"I do not believe that Barack Obama, in showing his voter ID, was engaging in Jim Crow-era law or pushing that type of perspective," Luna expressed. "And for the same people that are saying that [Homeland Security Secretary] Kristi Noem and ICE will demand your personal information and you will be put under surveillance, let me remind them that they actually all authorized the reauthorization of FISA, unreformed, that violated your constitutional rights."
