Florida gubernatorial candidate Paul Renner (R) announced the launch of a statewide committee focusing on women voters as he looks to gain traction in the governor's race this week.

According to the Renner campaign, the "Women for Renner Coalition" includes female community leaders, faith advocates, and business professionals in an effort to elevate women's voices and further policies to strengthen families, communities, and the economy.

In addition, the coalition intends to bring women from different backgrounds together around multiple core principles, including faith, economic opportunity, public safety, parental rights, and principled leadership.

It will also serve as a key communication outlet for the campaign as it looks to mobilize voters on issues relevant to families and communities, including financial growth and parental rights.

“Women are the heart and voice of families and communities,” Renner said. “I am honored to have the growing support of strong, dedicated female leaders that will ensure their concerns remain front and center— especially when it comes to protecting faith, American exceptionalism, parental rights, a prosperous economy, and defending the principles of freedom that guide us.”

“As Paul’s wife, I know his heart and his dedication to serving Florida’s families runs deep. “I’ve seen firsthand his unwavering commitment to making Florida the best place to live, work, and raise a family. I am thrilled to join this incredible group of ladies who will be unstoppable in amplifying our Florida First agenda!,” Paul Renner's wife, Adrianna, added.

The Steering Committee for the Women for Renner Coalition includes several members, some of whom are below:

  • Wendy Biddle, Educator and Activist
  • Regina Brown, Realtor and President of Transforming Florida
  • Lourdes Castillo, Businesswoman and Conservative Activist
  • Charlotte Joyce, Duval County School Board
  • Zarai Maza, CEO of Guardians of Human Rights Foundation

The rest of the list can be found here.

The committee also includes Nancy Peek McGowan, a former State Chairwoman for “Women for DeSantis" for governor. Renner, the former Florida Speaker of the House, is hoping to replace Gov. DeSantis in Tallahassee after next year's election.

"I can say with certainty, Paul Renner is the only authentic conservative running for governor with a lifetime record to prove it," McGowan said. "Paul is a U.S. Navy war veteran of 20 years, a University of FL Law graduate, and a criminal-busting state prosecutor."

“As Speaker, Paul championed policies which protected human life from the moment of conception, defended our state from human trafficking and illegal immigration, and led the charge to stop Trulieve lobbyists from destroying our young people with recreational marijuana," McGowan continued. "He’s committed to stop the rampant corporate abuse of H1B visas, which rob Floridians of jobs, protect our health freedoms, and defend our skies from Geoengineering and our oceans from offshore drilling."
