MIAMI—During the Miami-Dade Republican Executive Committee's annual Lincoln Day fundraising dinner, Republican Mayoral candidate Emilio T. Gonzalez rebuked accusations he has been hearing from potential voters that if he were to win his race, he would become "a MAGA mayor."

Gonzalez, who faces off against "soft socialist" Democrat Eileen Higgins, addressed those accusations by making the case for why most Americans are "MAGA."

"If MAGA means a strong border, I think we are all MAGA. If MAGA means an even stronger defense, then I think we're all MAGA. If MAGA means an incredibly strong economy, we're all MAGA. And if MAGA means school choice, we're all MAGA. And if it means 2nd Amendment, we're all MAGA. And protecting the most vulnerable in society, we are all MAGA," stated Gonzalez when gubernatorial candidate Rep. Byron Donalds called him up to the podium.

The City of Miami's contentious runoff election will take place on December 9.
