Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) shared a scathing post on X, blasting President Donald Trump for ignoring a looming healthcare affordability crisis, claiming that prices are going down, and accusing him of inaction when a White House guest collapsed behind him during an announcement.
"Republicans are ignoring the healthcare cost crisis American families face. Even when confronted with a health crisis in his own office, Trump stood there doing nothing,” Wasserman Schultz commented.
The Congresswoman elaborated further during an interview with MSNBC, claiming that Trump believes the U.S. “doesn’t have an affordability crisis and that prices are going down” and that the President must be “walking around with his eyes completely closed and paying attention to no one but himself.”
“Donald Trump said in his own words that we don't have an affordability crisis, that prices are going down. That is preposterous," she expressed. "I mean, he'd have to be walking around with his eyes completely closed and paying attention to no one but himself. That isn't surprising, because Donald Trump stood silently looking straight when he had someone experiencing a health care crisis in the Oval Office, and he stood there and did absolutely nothing.”
“He's destroying the White House East Wing, remodeling the Lincoln bedroom's bathroom, and is focused on lining his own pockets instead of making sure that people can afford their health care,” she commented.
A guest at the White House collapsed behind President Trump, suddenly halting an event held in the Oval Office last week.
Many have been critical of the President as he stood by while leaving others to tend to the man.
