The Floridian has learned that the Republican Party of Miami-Dade County has secured U.S. Senator Ted Cruz to deliver the keynote speech at their 2025 Lincoln Day Dinner. The local GOP, which is led by Chairman Kevin Cooper, will also present Senator Cruz with the Guardian of Freedom Award.
“This is a moment of celebration for our Party,” said Chairman Cooper. “For decades, Miami-Dade was seen as a Democratic stronghold. But through hard work, unity, and faith in our principles, we’ve rewritten history. Today, Miami-Dade is proudly Republican—and Senator Ted Cruz’s presence as our keynote speaker reflects just how far we’ve come. We are deeply honored to welcome him to the newly red Miami-Dade.”
The effort to land Sen. Cruz has been in the works for a couple of months, but after close friends of the local party with access and a close relationship with Cruz made a call or two, the event will take place on November 11 at the Miami International Airport Doubletree Hotel. Click for tickets.
We can neither confirm nor deny that Publisher Javier Manjarres helped bring Cruz to Miami. We also can't confirm or deny that Manjarres directly spoke to Cruz in the Capitol 3 weeks ago, as he took time out of a Republican Senator lunch meeting to speak to his old friend.
Gubernatorial candidate and Rep. Byron Donalds will also be in attendance at the Lincoln Day dinner.
