The Republican Party of Florida has named Susie Wiles, Chief of Staff to President Donald J. Trump and Co-Campaign Manager for the Trump 2024 campaign, as the 2025 "Statesman of the Year." Wiles will be honored with the recognition on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando.

"Susie Wiles has shaped not just Florida politics, but the future of our country," Repubican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power said in a release."From Jacksonville to Tallahassee and now the White House, her leadership, integrity, and unmatched political instincts have defined a generation. Honoring her as our 2025 Statesman of the Year is a tribute to her extraordinary career and enduring impact."

In their release, the GOP called Wiles a "trailblazer" for her work with Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott and helping Donald Trump become the 47th president of the United States.

President Trump even called Wiles "the most powerful woman in the world" in recognition of her work in Conservative politics.

"This acknowledgment of Susie is well-deserved," said Floridian Publisher Javier Manjarres. She has been instrumental in the political ascensions and successes of Govs. Scott and DeSantis and has helped frame the America First political trajectory within Florida Republican politics."

A graduate of the University of Maryland in 1978, Wiles began her public service in the Reagan administration in the 1980s. After moving to Florida in 1985, Wiles worked with two Republican mayors in Jacksonville before helping Sen. Scott launch his political career in 2010.

Scott served as Florida's governor from 2011 to 2019 before becoming a U.S. Senator in 2019, a position he still holds today.

More recently, Wiles successfully ran Trump's campaign operations in Florida in 2016 and 2020. Trump won Florida by 1% over Democrat Hillary Clinton, and by a little over 3% against President Joe Biden.

Wiles also worked as Trump's co-campaign manager during his successful 2024 presidential campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris.
