Representative and gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL) has released a video calling on residents of Congressional District 6 to vote for State Senator Randy Fine (R-FL) in the special election against Democrat Josh Weil. President Donald Trump (R) has also endorsed State Sen. Fine.
The final day to vote in the special election is April 1.

"It's Byron Donalds. If you live in Congressional District 6, anywhere from St. Augustine to Daytona Beach, we need you to get out and vote for Randy Fine," began Rep. Donalds. "Randy Fine is endorsed by President Trump. He's a supporter of the America First movement, and a vote for Randy Fine is a vote to make sure that Donald Trump's agenda is passed in Congress."
Moreover, the Florida Governor hopeful mentioned that the other side of the aisle is attempting to "steal" Waltz's old seat.
"The Democrats are spending 10s of millions of dollars to steal a congressional district in Northeast Florida that is strongly Republican. So, Republican voters, it's now your time, you got to get out, you got to vote. Please cast your ballot for Randy Fine on Tuesday," concluded Rep. Donalds.
The seat to represent CD-6 was held previously by Mike Waltz (R-FL), who resigned from the U.S. Congress to become President Trump's National Security Advisor. The district is approximately 2-to-1 in favor of Republicans, but early vote turnout has only favored Republicans by nine points.
During the 2024 election, early vote turnout was +29 in favor of Republicans. Early voting shows that Republicans have only a nine-point advantage over Democrats.
The nine-point cushion might sound somewhat comforting to Republicans. However, with the GOP already leading voter registration by more than 20 points, one can logically conclude that Republicans are simply not turning out.
Therefore, Democrats will need to rely on a lot of Republicans, non-party affiliates, and members of third parties to break for Weil to pull off the upset.
